Mistlethrush on top of the world

I’ve had the pleasure of hand rearing several of these beauties many years ago. They are the king of thrushes, liking open spaces, large lawns and tree tops. A beautiful haunting song carries a long way They are also known as storm cocks, singing during a heavy storm to prove their resilience. This one can be seen around the fields behind Millfield school, pictured getting the remaining hawthorn berries after the redwings and field fares had had their fill.

Painted on high quality paper with Gouache. Size 420mm X 300mm. Full size limited edition quality Glycee print also available, framed or mounted.
