Goldcrest

Europe’s smallest bird, often heard but not seen, more common than you think if you learn the call. Often heard in coniferous trees as they move quickly, hunting for tiny morsels to survive those short cold damp winter days.

I’m quite happy to have caught the image of the tiny Goldcrest hunting constantly for food on a winter morning with the sun catching the melting frozen rain on the branches and the reflecting rain drops in the background

Painted on high quality paper with Gouache. Size 420mm X 300mm.

Full size limited edition quality Glycee print also available, framed or mounted.
